Al Oliver came kicking and screaming into life in 1946, on the 14th of October. His country of birth is the USA and his hometown is Portsmouth. At school they called him Scoop, and the name stuck. He always knew he would make it, and burst into the big leagues on Monday 23rd September 1968. 5th October 1985 saw the last of Al, and marked the end of his career.
